JANUARY 2025: 🎆✨ Wishing you a blessed New Year! May it be filled with His peace, love, and guidance in every step you take. 🙏🌟

Why does a family decide to answer God's calling and leave everything behind?

Welcome to our family website, the spot we make to connect with you.

About us

We are an Italo-Argentinian family working with God to extend His Kingdom and make His message available to all people, regardless of age, culture, or language.

As a family, we practise evangelism and discipleship, walking with individuals and families to build their lives on Jesus Christ.

Since 2016, we have been living at the YWAM Harpenden campus in the UK, engaging in local and global missions, with a focus on family ministries. Combining our passion for technology, art, and training to share the hope and transforming power of Jesus.

our call and journey

Jesus saw them working and said: “Come, follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. At once they left their nets and followed him.” Matthew 4:19

Our family adventure of faith began a while ago. We left our land and nets and followed Jesus into places and situations we never imagined. It’s been hard but wonderful at the same time. We have the joy to know that we have been obeying His calling to be involved in global missions.

We believe it’s possible to get on board on missions as a family. In a balance between internal and external responsibilities. Knowing the mission fields starts within our family.

Since we landed in the UK in 2016, each experience was extraordinarily rich for our spiritual growth.

Every training helped us to be equipped and gain transcultural experience. While we ran camps, shared the Gospel and participated in discipleship activities. Outreach times in Derby, UK, Albania, or France and many cities in surrounding countries. And particularly our very special and precious time in Italy. In general, the engagement on global missions living on a different continent, language, and culture, is simply outstanding.

The bigger the step of faith we decide to take, the greater the care of God in our lives. Opportunities to grow more in Jesus. Certainly, it was not easy. Many times we didn't know how it would look like our family life from one week to another. But we can testify to God's care.

We are more than grateful to God who continuously is showing us the way where it wasn't before. And connecting us with brothers and sisters who timely give us opportune support.

Even knowing as Christians we are all on missions, wherever we work or live, we believe that God set us apart to invest full time in His Kingdom.

What are we doing

Lucio is getting involve in the Business as Mission initiative, which leverages the power of business to achieve positive, God-inspired change globally. This ministry aims to mobilise Christian business professionals, affirming their calling and enabling them to address global challenges through their enterprises. By connecting and resourcing these individuals, the initiative fosters a significant missional impact. Lucio's role includes helping in communications and translations. Facilitating online tools and providing access to valuable resources for effective mission work.

Tamara has been actively involved in re-pioneering King’s Kids in YWAM Harpenden since October 2020. While the pandemic closed so many doors, God encouraged a group of people to be intentional with the younger generations and start something new. Since then, a discipleship group for kids from 4 to 18 years old have been running weekly. The purpose is to mobilize, equip, reach out and care for children, youth and families to know God, bring Him joy and make Him and His Kingdom known. Tamara’s role is to lead, coordinate and facilitate local initiatives, and also to connect with the wider King’s Kids network around Europe and the World.

Frequently asked questions

WHAT IS YWAM?

YWAM is a global movement of Christians from many cultures, age groups, and Christian traditions, dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the world. We currently work in more than 1,100 locations in over 180 countries.

We are currently serving at YWAM Harpenden where our main focus as a campus is to impact the world with the gospel of Jesus by equipping, discipline and sending out missionaries into all the world. In order to be more intentional and effective in accomplishing our goal, we have made a commitment to send out short- and long-term teams and support local ministries in the following countries: UK, Middle East, Uganda, Albania, and The Caribbean. Currently we have 120 staff, from about 20 nations, serving in 14 different ministries.

DO YOU HAVE A SALARY?

We rely on financial giving for our missional work. Sometimes people are moved by God to give us for a specific project or trip or sometimes they are moved to give monthly. Sometimes these ways are not enough for our family needs, so we create fundraising campaigns like selling pizzas, dulce de leche o chipa… or maybe taking some jobs outside of YWAM. We would love to continuously work as a missionary family… but to pay life expenses sometimes we had to interrupt our ministry by joining the workforce in the marketplace. That’s why Tamara had a job in a local primary school and Lucio has been taking contracts in IT companies and freelance charities.

WHERE DO YOU LIVE?

We live in Harpenden, in a small flat in a YWAM branch, located in Hertfordshire, England, just a 30-minute train ride from the heart of London.

Our training campus is at Highfield Oval, which was built in 1912 as part of the National Children’s Home. Thousands of children were cared for until the 1980s, when changes in child-care resulted in its closure. YWAM moved here in 1986, renting part of the property, until we purchased the Oval in 1993.

This property has flats for staff, offices for each ministry, space to run schools, seminars and events, a Cafe open to the community, and a Chapel, where we meet every week. The “live/learn” environment is a crucial element of our organisation. Anyone who joins as staff or trainee will learn not only from lectures but also from community living, regular rhythms of worship and intercession, local outreach and practical service on our campus.

DO YOU GO TO A LOCAL CHURCH?

Yes, as a family we are part of the Bethany Community Church. Lucio helps in many practical areas like sound team, set up church team and video recording of the sermons team. Tamara is part of the Accorns and Powerpark team, helping to facilitate the Sunday School lessons. Our daughters participate every week of Affinity, but they serve in different events when needed.
